This is our Lily, she is no longer with us, but when she was it was a roller coaster of highs and lows. Why is it that the ones we love the most need the most or is it the other way around? ... the ones who need the most, we love the most!
We snapped this photo of her on our make believe porch, as you can see. Shadows cover part of her face and she is still a bit dirty around the neck from not being able to bathe due to a large incision. Also there is all that stuff behind her that takes away focus from beautiful Lily.
But, when turned into a digital image its another story.... All the background goes away to focus just on her. Her spots defined with tiny brush strokes, her image is a cross between a pencil drawing and a painting. I think the mixing of the two really makes for a unique portrait that looks more alive. Her eyes become the focus of her face and her striking markings are easy to see again. In the digital world there are no dirty dogs...unless we want them to be. Dirty dogs can be very cute, but as you can see Lily is not cute, she is gorgeous. So digitally we made her clean and white where she should be. Even her sunburned patches on her lips are removed by digital magic.
The finished image has been digitally framed, that is just for this website. Your image can be purchased with or without a real frame.
So if you have a cherished photo and would like to turn it into dazzling portrait please let us work a little magic for you.
